KHQ.COM - Laura in Spokane Valley reached out to Dan Kleckner regarding a brand new electric wheelchair.
The chair was intended for her mom, but she passed away at the beginning of the year and the unused chair had been in storage ever since.
Laura had only one stipulation, that the chair went to a veteran who needed it.
With that in mind, Dan contacted the Spokane Veterans Center located in Spokane Valley, ironically just minutes away from where the wheelchair was being stored.
The Veterans Center provides many services at no cost to vets or their families
It wasn't long before the Veterans Center had a perfect recipient, 89-year-old Dell Casper, a World War II veteran who flew 35 missions over Europe.
