Lewiston Police Department Press Release: LEWISTON, Idaho - On Sunday, October 28th, a report was made to the Lewiston Police Department, in which a victim was battered and at gun point taken from his residence in Lewiston Orchards. He was taken to several different locations in Lewiston and Clarkston, where he was forced to purchase numerous expensive items. The victim was also taken to several different ATM locations and forced to make withdrawals. The person was held against his will for approximately 22 hours, when he was left unattended and allowed to leave on his own. Tuesday, the Lewiston Police Department served two search warrants concurrently. One was served at 532 Burrell Ave, Lewiston, ID, where numerous stolen items were recovered. The other search warrant was served at 1360 Elm Street in Clarkston, WA. This warrant was served with the assistance of Lewiston Police Department SWAT team, and the Asotin County Sheriff's office. Numerous stolen items were also recovered at this location as well. During the search warrants the following suspects were arrested Cheryl A. Bynum (dob 1/20/61), of Lewiston and John C. Owens (dob 8/21/65) of Asotin County were arrested on local warrants and are being charged with Kidnapping, Robbery, and Burglary.
