PRESS RELEASE FROM THE SPOKANE POLICE DEPT: On Tuesday, 5/28 Spokane Police responded to a report of a Burglary at the Flour Mill, 621 W. Mallon. Employees reported someone had broken into the building's mail room and had stolen mail addressed to various tenants of the Flour Mill.
Spokane Police detectives conducted a thorough investigation, including the review of video surveillance footage. In the video detectives identified Fred Nolan as the suspect. Nolan is a prolific criminal with 38 felony convictions such as Theft, Burglary, Possession of Stolen Property, and Malicious Mischief dating back to 1992.
Thursday at 3:30 pm, Ofc. Bob Collins noticed a man acting suspiciously near the Spokane Arena. Ofc. Collins recognized Fred Nolan as the suspect in the Flour Mill Burglary. Nolan was taken into custody without incident.
Detectives are working with the Spokane County Prosecutors Office and Pre-Trial Services to ensure that Nolan has an appropriate bond set at Friday's court appearance at 1:30 pm.
