Ferry County Sheriff's Department Press Release:
On August 20, 2013 the Ferry County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a shooting that took place on Bacon Creek Drive in the Republic, WA area. On arrival they discovered one victim, Andre Becklin, had been shot in the face with a shotgun by an unknown subject. A fire was also reported in the area, and was discovered on Rose Haven Road. The shooting and the fire are believed to be related. The Ferry County Sheriff's Office has a person of interest, Richard William Green DOB June 21, 1946, but is unable to locate Green at this time.
Green is not a suspect at this time; he is only a person of interest.
Multiple agencies have come to the aid of the Ferry County Sheriff's Office in the investigation, Republic Police Department, United States Border Patrol, Washington State Patrol, U.S. Marshals Service, Okanogan County Sheriff's Office, and the Spokane Valley Fire Department.
