COEUR DALENE, Idaho - Ironman officials confirmed Thursday that they have reached an agreement with the city of Coeur d'Alene on a five-year extension.
They are scheduled to officially sign the contract Friday morning at 10:45am, right before the professional athletes are introduced.
Coeur d'Alene has been a host city for Ironman the past ten years.
This year's race will be at 7:00am Sunday June 24th. Athletes will be competing in a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike race, and 26.2-mile marathon. They have until midnight to finish. Thousands of athletes are expected to compete.
