AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. - An employee in the textile shop on the Airway Heights Correction Center is under investigation for sexual misconduct with an inmate.
According to a search warrant, an anonymous call alerted facility officials that staff member Siri Crain and an inmate had been meeting in a bathroom during work hours.
Investigators began monitoring and recording phone calls between the inmate and Crain.
Superintendent Maggie Miller tells KHQ that individuals sometimes make bad decisions and the facility will be making a point of emphasizing to employees if they see something to report it immediately.
Crain has been placed on administrative leave during this investigation.
The Airway Heights Police Department is investigating the accusations and they say this case is not related to the other sexual misconduct case they investigated a few weeks ago.
There's no timetable yet as to if or when Crain will be charged.
