UPDATE FROM THE GRANT COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE: Moses Lake stabbing suspect Dahndre Westwood was arrested around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday at a convenience store near the Larson Housing Area.
Citizens fed deputies information about Westwood's whereabouts and he was captured without incident. He is at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake with what he claims is a stab wound to one of his feet possibly connected to Wednesday night's incident. Once treated, he will be lodged in the Grant County Youth Services Facility for suspicion of first degree assault. (10JULY2013) - Grant County Sheriff's Detectives are looking for three Moses Lake youth they believe are responsible for stabbing another youth Tuesday night. Suspect #1: Dahndre Westwood, 14-year-old black male, 5'08", 160 lbs. Photo attached. Suspect #2: Travis Stotts, 17-year-old white male, 5'05", 160 lbs. Photo attached. Suspect #3: Victor J. Mejia, 16-year-old Hispanic male, 5'06", 205 lbs. No photo available. Westwood, Stotts and Mejia were allegedly confronted by three other youth around 11:20 p.m. last night near Arlington Drive and Lowry Drive in the Larson Housing Area north of the city of Moses Lake. During that conflict, a 16-year-old boy was stabbed several times. He underwent surgery at Samaritan Hospital. His present condition is stable. Sheriff Tom Jones says his deputies and detectives are searching for the three suspects and will not stop until they are caught. Westwood, Stotts and Mejia should be considered armed and dangerous.
