ELLENSBURG, Wash. - While most college football programs around the country are already deep into their spring practices, Central Washington University is just about to get things going with theirs. The Wildcats' first practice doesn't start until April 22nd, and when it does finding a starting quarterback will be a top priority. Fifth year senior Ryan Robertson will graduate leaving an open competition for the position.
"Our focus really is to try and find a quarterback. We've had a QB here, Ryan Roberston, for the last 5 years, he was a senior last year. That position is going to be very competitive," said Blaine Bennett, CWU head coach. "We have some freshman that have redshirted, so they've been here one year and they will compete for the job and we have some older quarterbacks that've been waiting for their turn to compete. So that's probably the biggest thing."
